Finding the moments
A clip has to make sense to someone who never heard the episode. The best ones usually have a clear claim, a short story with an ending, a strong opinion, or a laugh. We go through the episode and list candidates with times, a suggested hook line and a note on why each one works. You pick which ones to finish, or leave it to us.
How many good clips an episode holds depends on the conversation. A focused interview might give several. A loose chat might give two. We would rather send fewer clips that hold up than pad the list.
Reframing to vertical
Podcast cameras shoot wide, and social apps play tall. Each clip is reframed to 9:16 around the speaker. With two people talking, we either cut between their close-ups or stack the two shots, one above the other. The stacked layout suits fast exchanges. Close-ups suit one person making a point.
Captions and the first seconds
Many people watch with the sound off, so captions carry the clip. We set them large and inside the area the apps leave clear, away from buttons and usernames. Word-by-word highlight, short lines or your own style: say which in the brief. The clip opens on the strongest line, with no slow lead-in. A short title at the top can give context in a few words.

Platform limits on length and format change from time to time, so we check the current ones at delivery.
Clips every week
If you post clips from every episode, we keep one template for caption style, title look, colors and an end card, and cut each new batch to match. Clips can arrive together with the full episode, so you have a week of posts ready on release day.
Questions
Can you cut clips from old episodes?
Yes. Back catalogs are a good source of clips. Send the files, or the full-resolution exports if the camera files are gone.
Do you post the clips?
No. You get ready-to-post files and suggested caption text, and your accounts stay in your hands.
Can you add music?
We can add music from a library you have a license for, or leave the clip dry so you can pick a sound inside the app.
