PrimeEngage Podcast Edits

Process

How an episode is edited

From a folder of camera files and audio tracks to a finished episode, an audio file, captions and clips, with a review point before anything is final.

The multiviewer above is an illustration of a switching pass on a three-person episode with four camera feeds. The log shows the latest cuts, and the totals are worked out from the full list of shots.

1. Brief and quote

You share the folder link and tell us what you want back. We open the files, check that every camera and track is there, ask about anything unclear, and send a written quote with the scope, revision rounds and a delivery date. Work starts when you accept it.

2. Sync

All cameras and audio tracks are lined up on one timeline. Drift between devices is corrected so voices stay matched to lips for the whole episode.

3. Switching pass

We watch the episode with every angle side by side and cut to the speaker, adding wide shots and reactions where they help. This is the step the multiviewer shows.

4. Trim and audio

Setup chatter, long pauses and repeated stories come out. The audio is leveled and cleaned, and your intro, outro, lower thirds and inserts go in.

5. Review

You watch the cut on a review link and leave notes at exact times. Clip picks and the caption draft can be reviewed in the same round.

6. Changes and delivery

We make your changes and export the full episode, the audio file for your host, caption files, chapter times and the clips. Extra rounds beyond the quote are priced before we do them.
